Do Candles Lose Their Smell?
NOT at Vibrant Souls, they don’t, this is one of the signature qualities every customer talks about and why they will never buy an alternate candle after using one from Vibrant Souls. Even to the bottom of your candle when the wick no longer burns you can still be immersed in its perfume.
That said, it is possible for a candle to lose its smell however that normally means they have not formulated or mixed their candle recipe consistently and correctly … it is like sugar in your tea or coffee.
Can Candles Crack and Why Do Candles Crack?

Vibrant Souls crafts all its candles with 100% cotton wicks as a natural alternative that is more environmentally friendly and beneficial to the quality of our candles. Using 100% cotton wicks reduces the environmental footprint and provides a consistent, stable and trace-element free flame.
Do I Have to Trim My Candles Wick?
You should always aim to trim your wick to 6-8mm, this applies to the first time and before you re-light your candle. Trimming the wick will ensure a long-lasting candle, minimise soot, and remove any mushrooming of carbon at the end of the wick.

At Vibrant Souls we didn’t just want to make a candle-like everyone else … we wanted to craft something truly unique and luxurious for you. Although we use one of the most difficult high-quality Soy Wax versions, the results and benefits outway the extra effort.
Soy wax is an excellent choice for those who wish to burn more environmentally friendly candles. Major wax types are recognised as Bees, Palm, Paraffin, and Soy blends. Each possesses unique characteristics and qualities for the desired candle form you want to manufacture. The type of Soy wax we use requires special formulation and testing to get the blend perfect so it is flawless, burns consistently, and holds its fragrance throughout.
Soy wax is a 100% all-natural wax made from hydrogenated soybean oil. It is non-toxic, non-carcinogenic and contains no pesticides or herbicides. Soy wax burns cooler than common paraffin wax, increasing your candle’s life and extending the burn time to up to 50% longer! Soy wax candles require a thicker wick, which does not burn 100% and may need trimming.

Candle Care & Instructions
Only place your candle on a level surface and free from any flammable items, flammable surfaces and away from reach or edges.
Vibrant Souls formula means you should experience a perfect burn where the wax blend will burn to form an almost transparent pool on the surface of the candle. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours, burning beyond 4 hours is a safety hazard and will reduce your candle life.
Your wicks are pre-trimmed but if you desire you can shorten it more before lighting. Always light all the wicks in a candle. When lighting a soy candle for the first time, burn for a minimum of 2 hours and until the wax melts all the way to the sides of the container. Depending on the container size, the meeting should take around 1-3 hours. Failure to do this will often cause tunnelling or pooling around each wick which will then limit the life of your new soy candle or cause uneven burning.
Burn your candle with the flora and crystals (where applicable) on them. When your candle has fully burnt down you can simply remove the crystals and wash them with warm soapy water. Once cleaned place around the home, into jewellery or in a spot special to you.
Soy wax has a lower melt point than most other wax so remember to keep your soy candle out of direct sunlight as this may cause it to sweat. If your candle does sweat then remove it from the heat source and allow it to cool. It will quickly return to its normal state.
Extinguish your candle by dipping the wick into the melted wax and straightening it up again – this will stop the wick smoking and will help with re-lighting the next time.

- To prevent potential fire risk, serious harm or damage always burn your candle in your line of sight
- Always avoid knocking, tipping or moving the candle until the wax has hardened after burning
- Keep the candle and flames free of any other potentially flammable materials like matches, trimmed wicks, materials and fabrics
- Keep the candle, flames and above the flame away from other surfaces that may be damaged or react to heat, catch fire or have contact with a growing flame
- Keep out of reach of children or pets or near the edge of surfaces that can be reached, bumped, knocked or climbed
- Keep away from drafts and areas where the flame may be redirected
